The AI receptionists used by some GP practices ‘do not respond well’ to ‘variations in speech’ such as regional accents or speech impediments, Healthwatch has warned.
Healthwatch Rotherham said it has received feedback from patients highlighting ‘digital exclusion and communication issues’ when they tried to book GP appointments through the AI receptionist Emma.
