Reinstate six-month time period

Practice managers are calling for a return of the six-month deadline to action queries about suspected ‘ghost patients’ amid reports that NHS England’s list cleansing process is disrupting patient care and destabilising practice finances.

Practices are having to deal with a ‘significantly increased’ number of  FP69 flags placed on patients whose address has been queried by NHS England as part of its programme to check the accuracy of GP lists.
