Nine in 10 GP practices assessed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) since January 2024 were rated good or outstanding, according to the regulator’s annual State of Care report.

The State of Care report 2025/26, published on 23 October, also said more patients were finding it easier to contact their practice.
