GP practices are ultimately the organisations responsible for ensuring pension information about their staff is accurate, managers have been warned – particularly since mistakes can go undetected for years.

Jan Harley-Doyle, founder of Lifestyle Options, which provides pension support to practices, told delegates attending the Management in Practice event in London earlier this month that practices ‘cannot absolve’ themselves from responsibility when it comes to submitting the correct pension paperwork for staff and that the ‘buck stops with them’.
