The BMA is calling for almost 11% of NHS spending in Wales to be directed to general medical services (GMS) within five years, as it launches its third ‘Save Our Surgeries’ report.
The report said that the closure of 106 practices since 2012 has resulted in a 30% increase in patients per full-time GP.
