The drive by NHS England to cleanse GP lists is targeting six to seven million patients, new documents have revealed.

Analysis by the commissioner and the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has identified ‘an approximate six to seven million discrepancy in population counts’ between the Census and registered patients with an English GP, which the exercise is working to ‘tackle’.
