The RCGP does not support the proposed contracting models for neighbourhoods ‘in their current form’, the college has told NHS England.

In its response to its consultation on the new contracts, which closed last week, the RCGP told the commissioner that strengthening existing primary care organisations must be considered as an alternative option to the contracts, ‘rather than creating additional organisational structures’.
