Tens of thousands of young people get vital protection

Tens of thousands of young people have received the first of a life-saving double dose of the meningitis B vaccine within just 2 weeks of the NHS launching its biggest ever catch-up campaign for the virus.

Since the programme began on 20 July, 89,261* first doses of the vaccine have been given to young people, many of whom are preparing to go to university in September.
