Support or Sack?

When you have a member of staff who is underperforming, do you automatically consider how you can let them go or do you look at your organisation and review whether you have supported them sufficiently.

Organisations should ensure that they have done everything that they can, but also be aware that processes exist and must be followed should disciplinary action be needed.
