AMSPAR supports and promotes the use of continuing professional development (CPD) and the use of the competency framework (My competencies).
Lifelong personal and professional development are important and at AMSPAR we have a framework of 48 professional standards which are divided into 3 key areas.
The professional standards framework (PSF) has been designed to meet the continuing professional development aspirations of AMSPAR membership and to assist in developing a culture of lifelong learning. It is generic in nature and covers key management and leadership skills. It is designed to work in conjunction with the core competency framework and NHS knowledge and skills framework and is structured to cover the key roles of administration, management and strategy. It covers 3 key domains with a combined total of 48 competencies. It is based around our core values of “Dedicated to excellence” and “Innovation, collaboration and learning”.
