When Matt Hancock unveiled his vision for the NHS App and ensured its launch in December 2018, there were many that were critical of the pace of its introduction and the demand being placed on primary care staff to implement it.

The need to change how we work due to the coronavirus pandemic has meant there has been a significant move towards using digital technology. Primary care will likely never be the same again.
